Things I learnt hitting gyms in Malaysia
Here's some insights I learned while going to gyms in KL:
- That approximately 50% of the population (at least the population of Fitness First) needs to learn to use deodorant. And that this is not race-specific but rather applies across the ethnic-board. Talk about muhibbah, who says our racial groups don't have anything in common
- That 50% of the guys who go to the gym are obviously gay. Which isnt a big deal except they all seem to like to stare. Maybe this is what women have to go through.
- That of the other 50% of guys at the gym who are straight, 95% of that bunch will stare anyway, mostly to see if they have bigger muscles than you. or are lifting more.
- Related to that, just about any guy who has an inch of biceps (thats not a lot btw), seems to want to walk around and flex in front of you, as if the one inch is really 18 (flexing doesnt add 17 inches)
- If you have a big tattoo on your chest, EVERYONE will stare when you take off your shirt (what, never seen a tattoo before??)
- A large majority of guys need to learn to do something about armpit hair. I'm not suggesting guys should all shave their pits, but for the love of god if you're going to wear a singlet at least trim so you dont look like you have pine leaves sticking out. disgusting.
- NOBODY seems to know how to wipe down. also disgusting.
