Was going to bitch and moan about my attempts to change my Lotus Notes password, until I found this wonderful entry in http://lotusnotessucks.4t.com/ (my current favorite site) that sums up everything nicely:
  • Just select Options on the Tools menu? No.

  • How about on the Edit menu, select Preferences? No.

  • On the Actions menu, point to Tools then select Preferences? No.

  • On the File menu, select User Preferences, then click the Security Options button? No.

  • How about on the File menu, point to Tools, then select User ID? YES. But there is more! Enter your password, then click Set Password. Enter your password AGAIN(third time), then enter your new password. Get it right, because if Lotus Notes doesn't like your new password, it will tell you so, but won't exactly tell you what it didn't like. Enter your new password again. Click OK. Did it work? Lotus Notes won't tell you if you successfully changed your password, just if you did not successfully change your password.

I also love how each one of the entries in the site ends as follows:

Conclusion
Lotus Notes sucks.

9.30pm onwards

Mark your calendars for a chance to come oogle at us :)
Contact me for invites (assuming you know who I am)

i meant to post this a while back (thought of it on one of my driving trips back from Kerteh) but had completely forgotten, and was reminded yesterday when driving home at 4am i encountered a lone motobike speeding down the wrong way on a dark stretch of the highway. Apparently in an effort to make him/herself more visible s/he decided to blare his/her high-beam, of course instead completely blinding me..

Driving concepts that drivers in the East Coast and Segamat area seem unable to comprehend
Note: I stated specifically East Coast (ie Kuantan-Kerteh stretch) and Segamat (ie Pedas Linggi - Segamat rural stretch) from my own experience, cuz you know, don't want to generalize or anything, although I do suspect it applies elsewhere

  • There is such a thing as driving too slowly on a highway

  • Driving with just one headlamp functioning is not exactly safe driving

  • Driving with one headlamp is not cool either

  • Driving with a high-beam blaring does not make up for lack of a functioning headlamp

  • Driving a motorbike with a busted rear light in the middle of the night is pretty stupid

  • Especially so when you have 4 kids hanging on the back

  • Even more so when the driver is a kid

  • Zooming up behind me with your high-beams glaring up my ass is only gonna make me do one thing: slow down, let you pass, and them zoom up behind you with my super-bright beams up YOUR arse .. how do you like that punk??

Of course if you have a deathwish, then its logical for you to choose to ignore common sense while driving. Just please don't dent my car in the process
